M57 Ring Nebula in Lyra
This and the next image were, believe it or not, processed from the same data. This one using Jörg Weingrill's CYMG Color Plug-in for the MX7C and the next one using AstroArt's RGB synthesis plug-in. The images are a stack of 46, 20 second shots taken in fast mode and both final images had the levels tweaked in Photoshop. The amazing difference is due (I think) to the fact that the MX7C builds color data thanks to cyan, yellow, magenta and green filters deposited directly on the CCD surface making the color rendition in RGB not quite as accurate. Jörg's plug-in is currently still under development and for the time being there is no batch processing option but it sure does look promising!
